Sustainability

Sustainability for your success

Expression of our high quality standards

At Dickert Electronic GmbH, sustainability begins with product development. We take responsibility for many hundreds of thousands of controllers and devices that will leave our production line in the coming years. We, therefore, pay special attention to component selection, circuit development, standby consumption, durability and recyclability at the end of use.

We cover most of our electricity needs with the PV systems we have installed (40kWp since 2008 and 150kWp since 2022). The remainder comes from purchased eco-electricity. The building is heated in a CO2-neutral manner via the local district heating network, fed by the residual wood from a sawmill.

Sustainability taken a step further

For us, sustainability also means giving preference to employing staff from the surrounding area, and providing them with further training if required. They have short commutes, can use a job bike, and can be with their families in a few minutes. Long-standing company affiliation and experience are our advantages.

Conflict raw materials

We are receiving an increasing number of enquiries about the use of conflict raw materials. This concerns products the manufacture, or functionality, of which requires conflict raw materials (tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold or their derivatives) originating in the Democratic Republic of Congo or one of the countries Angola, Burundi, Rwanda, Zambia, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and the Central African Republic.

Dickert Electronic is not an importer or trader of raw materials, but merely a processor of components that may contain such conflict raw materials. We will continue to ensure, as part of our scope of our influence, that no conflict materials, or only certified materials, are used. However, as an electronics manufacturer, we are at the end of the processing chain. The course must be set in the raw material processing industry.

In other respects, we refer to the statements and recommendations on this topic of our trade associations (FED www.fed.de and ZVEI www.zvei.org), which we endorse.

German packaging act

In its diversity, sales packaging bears great potential to be reintroduced into the materials cycle through recycling. The dual system ensures separate collection from the consumer, recovery and recycling of the packaging.

We are affiliated with the Dual System via the following registration number: DE2670408093400
